We are a creative partnership consisting of two generations of goblincore nerds playing dress-up as ordinary adults. We make & celebrate stories across different formats and genres: gothic space opera, villainess tales where the villainy remains villainous, time travel madness, sleuths who solve crimes by leveraging the cracks in their personalities, romances that chortle at the idea of “happily ever after,” and more.
What we publish is a little uncategorizable on purpose. If you’ve ever wanted a story that takes its weirdness entirely too seriously, you’re in the right house.
DeAnna follows the shiny thing. She has been following shiny things for a long time, which is how a person ends up writing eighty-some books (many ghostwritten) across genres that don’t usually share a shelf.
She’s particularly interested in plot twists, in systems (including ones that lie about it), in Alice in Wonderland, in treating food & drink like alchemy, and in the underlying structure of basically anything that holds still long enough to be taken apart. She is reliably described as insightful, which she suspects is what people say when they can see you noticing.
She writes books with her name on them (for adults) or De Kenyon (for younger middle-grade kids). The rest is partnership.

Ray Kenyon gives life to the characters people need when they’re stuck in the tar pit—and believes the struggle to drag yourself out is the part that counts.
Her work hooks you with curiosity and discombobulation, then becomes a gentle ASMR that knows you perhaps a little too well. In her spare time she reads wildly diverging fanfics and vilifying villainess manga…plays cozy, dystopian, and off-the-wall meta games…and makes art that is the equivalent of a Scooby-Doo midnight snack.
